Who We Are Looking For
WOWnature is seeking a (Junior) Communication Officer to support B2B partner companies funding reforestation initiatives.
The role involves enhancing communication efforts, creating digital content, managing social media, supporting forest events, and helping companies communicate their sustainability commitments transparently and credibly.
Role and Responsibilities
Support to Partner Companies (B2B)
- Assist partner companies throughout their customer journey, focusing on communication related to supported reforestation projects.
- Develop and adapt communication materials (texts, visuals, digital content) that effectively showcase environmental and social commitments.
- Promote responsible, transparent sustainability messaging, including basic awareness of greenwashing risks.
WOWnature Communication
- Contribute to the editorial plan for social media channels targeting B2B audiences, aligned with overall branding and marketing strategies.
- Create content for social media, websites, newsletters, and event materials.
- Manage social media engagement activities to increase visibility.
Organization of Forest Planting Events
- Support the planning and coordination of tree-planting and forest activities involving different stakeholders.
- Assist in event promotion, managing registrations, and logistical arrangements.
- Collaborate on operational aspects of events, including promotion and participant communication.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in communication or marketing.
- Environmental sciences, forestry, or sustainability-related training is a plus.
Experience
- No minimum experience required; relevant personal projects or up to one year of work experience are advantageous.
Skills
- Excellent command of Italian (written and spoken).
- Good knowledge of English (B2 level or higher).
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
- Understanding of marketing, communication, and greenwashing concepts.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Knowledge of sustainability topics and corporate sustainability communication.
