Overview
This role offers an opportunity to maintain financial and operational integrity at Numun Fund while supporting core financial processes, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial processes including accounts payable and receivable.
- Coordinate with consultants and team members on procurement, invoicing, contracting, and payments.
- Process invoices and request internal payment approvals.
- Ensure payments to grantees and process staff claims.
- Oversee month-end procedures, ensuring the general ledger is accurate.
- Compile internal financial reports and prepare quarterly financial statements.
- Track grant disbursements and respond to queries regarding disbursements.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of finance management experience, including 2 years in a non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with Canadian or international compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting principles, especially Excel and QuickBooks.
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in remote teams.
- An affinity with the mission and operational model of Numun Fund.
