Role Overview
E Co. is seeking a highly commercial, dynamic, and strategic Marketing & Communications leader to serve as their Interim Head of Marketing & Communications for a 6-9 month maternity cover.
This role offers a rare opportunity to strengthen commercial positioning, enhance client experience, and elevate marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy and Positioning
- Analyze and elevate product offerings, market placement, and commercial positioning.
- Translate complex business models into revenue-focused marketing strategies.
Client Experience and Journey
- Champion the customer experience, building on existing client journey mapping.
- Ensure targeting is precise, relevant, and engaging.
Inbound Marketing and Discoverability
- Guide the team to optimize website and digital assets for inbound business.
- Implement SEO and discoverability strategies.
Thought Leadership and Brand Momentum
- Lead thought-leadership initiatives.
- Support multi-channel B2B campaigns across consulting, bid, and HR teams.
- Manage brand reputation through strategic campaigns.
Business Development Alignment
- Collaborate with senior management to develop marketing plans for 2026/2027.
Team Leadership and Execution
- Guide and mentor the internal Marketing & Communications team.
- Lead strategic and hands-on campaign execution.
- Participate in senior management meetings and strategy sessions.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 8 years of proven B2B marketing experience, with 5+ years in leadership or fractional CMO roles.
- Experience scaling high-performing, multicultural teams.
- Ability to translate complex business models into strategy.
- Knowledge of climate finance and sustainable development landscape.
- Successful track record in cross-channel marketing strategies.
- Hands-on skills in product marketing, growth marketing, brand positioning, messaging, SEO, and lead generation.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven with strong project management and KPI measurement.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic) are advantageous.
- Ideally experienced with HubSpot.
Additional Details
- Location: Fully remote, +/-4h GMT.
- Level of Effort: 2-3 days per week (40-60%) for 6-9 months.
- Salary: £60,000 – £85,000/year, prorated based on working days.
