About Us: Climate Collective Foundation (CCF)

Climate Collective Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting climate tech startups. We work within the climate ecosystem to foster innovation by connecting startups with funding, investors, education, and accelerator programs. Our remote team of 50 members operates collaboratively to drive impactful, sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges.

About the Role

Mosambi is CCF’s flagship Tech platform, built on Salesforce Tech stack. It connects startups, investors, mentors, and ecosystem enablers, and integrates with external tools and databases via APIs. 

You’ll own the content and data layer of the platform: what goes in, how it’s structured, and whether it stays current. You’ll also act as the bridge between CCF’s program teams and the technical implementation partners building the platform. That means translating real-world content and service needs into requirements the tech team can act on, and holding them to those requirements through delivery.  

This isn’t a coding role, but it requires enough technical fluency to hold your own in product and development conversations. You should be comfortable reading a data model, understanding what an API integration does, asking the right questions in a sprint review, and spotting when a delivered feature doesn’t match the requirement. 

Key Responsibilities

Content & Data Strategy 

• Define the content strategy for Mosambi’s directories and value-added services (VAS): stakeholder profiles, knowledge management, matchmaking, and service marketplaces. 

• Design frameworks for standardising, tagging, and categorising all platform data. Consistency matters more than volume. 

• Lead the build-out of the Knowledge Management System: categorisation logic, tagging taxonomy, and content curation. 

• Work with CCF program leads to identify content needs and translate them into VAS design and directory structure. 

Data Operations & Quality 

• Manage a team of Research Analysts responsible for data entry, enrichment, and quality assurance. 

• Build and enforce quality control processes: duplicate removal, freshness checks, validation pipelines. 

• Oversee automated data discovery, including web scraping, multi-source aggregation, and validation workflows, in collaboration with the tech team. 

• Define the data points required for each VAS feature, ensuring the structure supports matching and recommendations. 

Technical Coordination & Platform Development 

• Serve as the content and data representative in all development discussions: daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and partner calls. 

• Translate VAS and content requirements into clear, actionable briefs for the Salesforce admin/developer team and external implementation partners. 

• Coordinate with implementation partners on Salesforce-stack builds and third-party integrations via APIs. Track deliverables, raise gaps, and escalate when needed. 

• Develop working knowledge of Salesforce admin capabilities (object management, flows, permissions, reporting) sufficient to validate what’s been built against what was asked for. 

• Understand how automation agents work within the platform and contribute to defining their logic and data inputs. 

• Provide structured UI/UX inputs for VAS modules, grounded in user needs and content logic. 

Automated Data Discovery & Validation 

• Lead the design of an automated data discovery pipeline that keeps Mosambi’s directories current, covering startup databases, funding platforms, government portals, accelerator listings, and partner data sources. 

• Define the scraping and aggregation logic in collaboration with the tech team. You won’t write the code, but you’ll specify what data is needed, from where, and at what frequency. 

• Establish validation and quality frameworks: automated checks for duplicates, outdated records, and data accuracy across all ingested sources. 

• Define the data points required for each VAS module, ensuring the structure supports discovery and matching for end users. 

• Work with the tech team to design a scalable data infrastructure that can grow with the platform across multiple stakeholder categories. 

Ecosystem Research & VAS Strategy 

• Research comparable platforms in the startup and innovation ecosystem space. Identify what Mosambi should adopt, adapt, or avoid. 

• Develop the VAS strategy: service design, data requirements, content structure, and user experience for each service module. 

• Represent data and content perspectives in integration calls with partner organisations and technology providers. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Align with CCF program leads running The Climate Accelerator and other initiatives to ensure Mosambi serves their actual needs
