    The Food Systems team within UNDP is seeking a Program Management and Operations Intern to support project coordination, administrative activities, and operational tasks related to transforming global food systems into sustainable, resilient, and inclusive systems.

    This home-based internship offers an opportunity for students or recent graduates in relevant fields to contribute to global food system transformation and gain valuable experience within the UN system.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the Project Management Teams:

    • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and briefing notes, including proofreading and updating SharePoint documents
    • Conduct background research and consolidate reports on Food Systems topics
    • Facilitate internal communication and information dissemination among project teams and partners
    • Support data collection and document management for ongoing projects

    Support the Operations Team:

    • Human Resources: Assist with recruitment documentation, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance tracking
    • Procurement: Support document consolidation and vetting of CVs for procurement processes
    • Travel & Event Management: Coordinate virtual events, workshops, and travel arrangements

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Education:

    • Enrolled in final year of a BA or MA program in fields such as project management, operations, environmental management, agriculture, sustainable development, economics, international relations, or related areas; or
    • Recent graduate within the last year, eligible to start the internship

    Experience & Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Office and Zoom
    • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills
    • Experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation is a plus
    • Prior experience in programme support, operations, or event organization is advantageous
    • Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills are an advantage

    Internship Conditions

    • UNDP does not pay a salary but may provide a monthly stipend
    • Interns are responsible for their own health insurance and related costs
    • Interns must provide proof of good health and arrange their own equipment and workspace for remote work
    • No expectation of employment post-internship; this is a temporary support role
