    The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has officially opened applications for its 2026 Administration Internship at the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre (USPC) in the Republic of Korea. The six-month internship presents an exceptional opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates seeking practical experience in international development, administration, and multilateral cooperation.

    Based in Seoul, the internship offers participants direct exposure to the work of one of the world’s leading development organizations while supporting operational and administrative functions that contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    Internship Overview

    The Administration Internship is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in office management, operations, logistics, and programme support within an international organization.

    Successful interns will work closely with UNDP staff and contribute to the efficient functioning of the Seoul Policy Centre while gaining valuable insight into development cooperation and United Nations operations.

    The internship will run from:

    17 August 2026 to 16 February 2027

    The position is full-time and based in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

    Key Responsibilities

    Interns will support a wide range of administrative and operational activities that are essential to the Centre’s daily operations.

    Primary duties include:

    Administrative and Operations Support

    • Preparing financial and accounting documentation.
    • Managing office calendars, contact lists, and correspondence.
    • Supporting procurement and asset management processes.
    • Coordinating meetings and information flows across teams.
    • Organizing workshops, conferences, and events.
    • Assisting with travel and logistical arrangements for participants.
    • Supporting internal digital tools and administrative systems.
    • Maintaining protocol procedures and operational records.
    • Providing administrative support to the Director and programme teams.

    Communications and Documentation

    • Drafting, editing, and proofreading documents.
    • Conducting informal translation and interpretation tasks.
    • Supporting communications and information-sharing activities.
    • Coordinating training and onboarding activities for interns.

    Additional Support Functions

    • Assisting with Greening UNDP initiatives.
    • Supporting ad hoc operational projects.
    • Contributing to team activities as required.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must meet at least one of the following educational criteria at the time of application:

    • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme.
    • Be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree programme.
    • Have graduated within the past year and be able to begin the internship within one year of graduation.
    • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme.

    Preferred academic backgrounds include:

    • Public Administration
    • Business Administration
    • Economics
    • Finance
    • Related disciplines

    Required Skills and Competencies

    UNDP is seeking candidates with strong organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.

    Desired qualifications include:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong administrative and coordination skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Research and analytical capabilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Positive and proactive work ethic.
    • Interest in international development and multilateral cooperation.

    Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.

    Language Requirements

    Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in both:

    • English
    • Korean

    Knowledge of additional United Nations languages will be considered an asset.

    Internship Benefits

    While the internship is unpaid in terms of salary, UNDP provides a monthly stipend to support interns during their placement.

    For 2026, the stipend is approximately:

    KRW 1,169,728 per month

    UNDP does not provide visa sponsorship for this internship.
