    Job Description

    Overview

    Helen Keller Intl is seeking an experienced Regional Program Manager to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for a multi-country food fortification portfolio in West Africa, with a focus on micronutrient fortification of bouillon cubes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership for a multi-country food fortification portfolio
    • Develop and oversee regional and country-level work plans
    • Guide adaptive program management and ensure delivery of results.
    • Provide technical guidance on fortification policy, regulatory processes, and enforcement
    • Support governments, manufacturers, and working groups on food fortification implementation
    • Facilitate collaboration among governments, private sector actors, civil society, and research institutions.
    • Lead advocacy efforts for adoption and implementation of fortification standards
    • Oversee development of technical documents and knowledge products
    • Coordinate program implementation across countries
    • Lead monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting processes
    • Ensure safeguarding principles and ethical standards are applied.
    • Support manufacturers and countries to address formulation, cost, and supply chain challenges
    • Serve as a key technical and programmatic contact for donors
    • Monitor budgets and track expenditures across the regional portfolio
    • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational financial policies
    • Oversee preparation and submission of narrative and financial reports
    • Coordinate sub-grant processes and reporting
    • Represent Helen Keller Intl at national, regional, and international forums.
    • Contribute to global learning, strategy development, and technical initiatives

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Public Health, International Development, or related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years experience implementing food and nutrition programs
    • Strong experience with food fortification programs and policy development in Nigeria or West Africa.
    • Experience managing multi-country or regional programs
    • Experience translating policies or standards into large-scale implementation
    • Experience working with food manufacturers or private-sector partners
    • Strong program management skills including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting
    • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage diverse teams and complex projects.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency in standard digital tools such as Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms
    • Fluency in English is required.
    • French language proficiency is an advantage
    • Ability to work across multiple time zones when required
    • Willingness to travel at least 30 percent.
