Overview
NUR Foundation is seeking a Research Assistant to support research initiatives across NCRP’s projects. The role involves contributing to data-driven research, policy development, and evaluation studies that inform evidence-based programming and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Data Collection
- Support data collection across project activities
- Conduct literature reviews and background research
- Assist in designing research tools and methodologies
- Ensure adherence to ethical research principles and data privacy regulations
Data Analysis and Management
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis using tools such as:
- Conduct data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance checks
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets
- Leverage insights to enhance project outcomes and inform recommendations
Reporting and Documentation
- Contribute to report writing, policy briefs, and evaluation studies
- Assist in drafting research papers and grant proposals
- Create clear and impactful data visualizations using:
- Tableau
- Power BI
- Microsoft Excel
- Ensure findings are communicated effectively to diverse stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as:
- Public Policy
- International Development
- Public Health
- Degree must be from an HEC-recognized university
- A Master’s degree is considered an asset
Professional Experience
- 1–2 years of project data management experience preferred
- Sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Experience handling sensitive data with strict confidentiality
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong academic writing and critical analysis skills
- Knowledge of best practices in data visualization
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Capacity to manage multiple research tasks within deadlines
- Understanding of ethical standards in research and data protection
