Overview
HelpAge International is recruiting for an IT and Operations Manager to join its Business Support Department. This is a global leadership role for professionals with experience in IT management, organizational operations, cybersecurity, and strategic planning. The position offers an open-ended contract.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage strategic operational systems and the annual Operations and IT strategy.
- Manage department budgets, operational planning, and produce performance reports using BI and KPIs.
- Maintain the Operations and IT risk register and identify/respond to operational, technological, and cybersecurity risks.
- Develop and implement operational policies and processes supporting contract management, partnership management, data protection, environmental compliance, digital systems, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Provide technical and operational advice to global teams and support localisation processes.
- Lead the organization’s digital strategy and technology roadmap, overseeing IT infrastructure, digital tools, and IT projects.
- Strengthen cybersecurity policies and systems, leading incident response, and ensuring effective remote working tools.
- Line manage Operations and IT staff, coordinate communities of practice, and collaborate with other departments.
Requirements
5–9 years of professional experience in information technology, operations management, or organisational systems.
- Strong experience in IT management, organisational operations, cybersecurity, and strategic planning.
