OPEC FUND Young Professional Development Program (YPDP)

Overview

The OPEC Fund's Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) is a two-year structured program designed to prepare young professionals from OPEC Fund member countries for careers in global development, offering exposure to various departments and contributing to development initiatives.

Eligibility

• National of an OPEC Fund member country
• 30 years of age or younger at the time of application
• Master’s degree or higher from a reputable university
• Strong academic performance
• Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
• Specialization in fields relevant to the OPEC Fund (e.g., Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Law, HR)
• Ability to work in a global and culturally diverse environment
• Understanding of the OPEC Fund’s mandate
• Willingness to serve the OPEC Fund for at least two years post-program

Benefits

Participants will receive training, coaching, and mentoring, gain practical work experience through departmental rotations, and access professional networks and development opportunities. Upon successful completion, there is a possibility of an entry-level position offer.
