About the Role
This position is ideal for editors with a strong background in content editing, a keen eye for detail, and experience working with AI-generated drafts.
The role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the entire content lifecycle, from editing to understanding how content strategy and distribution influence performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Refinement: Edit and improve AI-generated and human-written content, including news articles, blog posts, slideshows, infographics, podcasts, and video scripts.
- Issue Resolution: Fix common AI-specific issues such as repetition, factual inconsistencies, tone mismatches, clichés, formatting errors, and weak sentence structure.
- SEO Optimization: Apply best practices for SEO, focusing on headline optimization, keyword placement, and internal guidelines.
- Visual Content Review: Review and edit visual elements like slideshows, infographics, and videos to ensure they support and enhance the written content.
- Fact-Checking: Conduct quick fact-checks to verify claims, sources, and statistics to maintain credibility and accuracy.
- Feedback Provision: Offer clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to writers to improve content quality and productivity over time.
- Project Management: Handle multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining high editorial standards and consistency.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a professional editing role; 3+ years preferred.
- Proven ability to edit AI-generated drafts to a publication-ready standard.
- Strong editorial judgment to significantly enhance content quality.
- Experience following multiple guidelines, including client-specific and internal standards.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles relevant to content creation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
- Effective written communication skills, especially when providing feedback.
- Adaptability to evolving workflows and digital tools.
- A reliable remote working setup including a stable internet connection and necessary hardware.
