Overview
The Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA) is seeking a Policy Research and Advocacy Manager. This role is responsible for leading the organization’s policy unit and advancing its goals through research, advocacy, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s policy unit and oversee research coordination, policy engagement, and technical support for advocacy initiatives.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, senior management, members, and strategic partners.
- Provide thought leadership and guide the organization’s policy agenda.
- Lead policy advocacy initiatives, coordinate programmes across TJNA’s thematic areas, and manage research and knowledge generation activities.
- Guide the development of evidence-based policy outputs such as policy briefs, analytical reports, and position papers.
- Engage with policymakers, government institutions, civil society organisations, and regional networks to advance TJNA’s advocacy objectives across Africa.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in economic justice, tax policy, or public policy advocacy is an advantage.
- Strong research, programme management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
