    The Global Fund for Children is hiring a Global People and Culture Senior Manager!

    • Job Title: Global People and Culture Senior Manager
    • Location: Remote / Flexible (Global Distribution)

    • Salary Range: USD $85,000 to $110,000 (dependent on experience and location)

    Position Overview

    The Global People and Culture Senior Manager is a vital new role at GFC, tasked with strengthening the organization’s global People & Culture (P&C) operations as the team expands.

    This position serves as the operational backbone of the P&C function, ensuring best practices across diverse employment arrangements, compliance, and staff support systems worldwide.

    This full-time role is designed for a strategic, detail-oriented, and people-centered P&C professional with a passion for supporting distributed teams. The Senior Manager will lead core HR operations, oversee relationships with PEO/EOR partners, and translate GFC’s P&C strategy into effective, organized initiatives.

    The Senior Manager reports directly to the Senior Advisor, People & Culture and works closely with global teams, legal counsel, and governance bodies to ensure operational excellence and compliance.


    Key Responsibilities

    1. People and Culture Operations & Systems Management

    This aspect of the role involves ensuring seamless P&C operations across multiple time zones and regions, maintaining systems, and establishing scalable processes.

    • Act as the primary coordinator for global P&C operations, including contracts management, HRIS (Human Resources Information System) development, and documentation.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to oversee onboarding and offboarding logistics, contracts, and compliance requirements.

    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records, ensuring information flow to leadership and managers.
    • Develop and refine templates, workflows, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Manage relationships with external PEO/EOR providers, ensuring onboarding, performance management, benefits coordination, and compliance are handled smoothly.
    • Ensure all processes align with GFC’s organizational standards and policies.

    2. First-Line Staff and Manager Support

    This component focuses on supporting staff and managers with day-to-day P&C questions and issues, ensuring clarity and consistency.

    • Serve as the first point of contact for routine policies, benefits, leave, and forms.
    • Provide initial guidance on employee relations concerns, escalating complex issues to senior P&C advisors.

    • Support managers with updated tools, templates, and process guidance.
    • Collaborate with PEO/EOR partners to deliver clear communication on employment terms and benefits to global staff.

    3. Implementation of People & Culture Initiatives

    This area centers on driving the strategic projects that foster GFC’s organizational culture.

    • Oversee and manage P&C projects, ensuring they meet timelines and strategic goals.
    • Monitor progress across workstreams related to wellbeing, engagement, compensation, and staff development.

    • Support investigations, employee relations, and documentation processes.
    • Facilitate staff engagement and organizational development initiatives.

    4. Strengthening Global People and Culture Infrastructure

    This involves continuously improving policies, systems, and practices to support a dynamic, values-driven organization.

    • Review, update, and advise on P&C policies and procedures, including those specific to different countries.
    • Support evolution of performance management and staff development systems.

    • Navigate governance, legal, and compliance requirements in collaboration with legal counsel and governance teams.
    • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes.

    • Promote clarity and accessibility of P&C processes across diverse teams worldwide.
    • Identify operational improvements and recommend solutions.

    Required Qualifications & Key Competencies

    Essential:

    • Extensive experience managing complex global P&C operations, ideally within international NGOs or distributed organizations.
    • Deep understanding of employment laws, compliance, and international employment practices.
    • Proven experience managing PEO/EOR relationships and supporting diverse employment structures.

    • Strong skills in HR systems management, workflow design, and process optimization.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
    • High emotional intelligence, intercultural competence, and ability to build trust across diverse cultures and time zones.

    • Demonstrable integrity, confidentiality, tact, sound judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and staff wellbeing.

    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative, multicultural environment.
    • HR-related qualifications and/or membership with recognized professional HR bodies.

    Preferred:

    • Experience as an HR generalist supporting global teams.
    • Knowledge of HRIS tools and digital workflow systems.
    • Experience supporting DEIA initiatives or organizational change management.
    • Fluency in multiple languages.
    • Additional relevant certifications or training.
