Supply Chain Manager at Pullus Africa

Overview

Pullus Africa is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the smooth flow of inputs and finished products across their network. The role focuses on logistics, inventory, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability, aligning production with market demand and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise logistics officers to coordinate farm pickups, processing schedules, and customer deliveries.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with transport providers and monitor distribution costs while improving delivery routes.
• Supervise inventory officers to maintain accurate stock records and reconcile collections, outputs, and dispatches.
• Ensure real-time tracking of stock availability using digital systems.
• Collaborate with sales, extension, and procurement teams to align customer orders, coordinate input flow to farmers, and manage stock.
• Utilize ERP and digital dashboards to track inventory movement and KPIs, providing regular performance reports.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in transport and storage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage).
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership, preferably in agribusiness or FMCG.
• Strong experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and financial models supporting supply chain operations.
• Good knowledge of cold chain management, distribution systems, and agricultural value chains.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and team leadership skills.
• Practical experience using logistics and inventory systems, including ERP and other digital tools.
