Overview
AMMASCO Radio is hiring for multiple positions including Freelance Reporters, Digital Journalists, Broadcast Engineers, Programme Managers, Radio Station Administrators, and News Editors/Casters.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish news stories and multimedia content for online platforms and social media.
- Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Carry out interviews and field reporting.
- Edit content and work with multimedia elements such as photos, audio, and video.
- Monitor social media trends and engage audiences.
- Experience in FM and AM transmission.
- Experience with live event production.
- Design and manage programme schedules, ensuring alignment with station vision and mission.
- Supervise programme quality and on-air presentation standards.
- Drive innovation and programme development.
- Plan and manage daily staff and administrative activities.
- Implement and enforce station rules and policies, maintaining discipline among staff.
- Write reports and official correspondence, prepare work schedules, and maintain attendance records.
- Edit, screen, and approve news content for broadcast.
- Write, read, and present news on radio, and translate news accurately.
Requirements

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Background in electrical engineering or radio frequency systems.
- Prioritisation and issue resolution skills.
- Flexibility in different broadcast environments.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Knowledge of broadcast systems, health and safety protocols, and workflows.
- Experience in designing and managing programme schedules.
- Ability to ensure programmes align with station vision and mission, and attract listeners.
- Ability to supervise programme quality and on-air presentation standards.

- Ability to work effectively with presenters and other departments.
