Job Summary
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a Programme Support Assistant (Intern) to support its crime prevention and criminal justice initiatives in Abuja, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Support programme implementation related to crime prevention and criminal justice initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis on issues related to crime, corruption, and justice systems.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, conferences, and training activities.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, briefing notes, and background documents.
- Support the development of presentations, speeches, and communication materials.
- Assist with social media content and programme visibility activities.
- Provide administrative support such as documentation and procurement processes.
- Perform other duties to support programme delivery and office operations.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or enrolled in / recently completed a master’s or graduate programme.
- Preferred fields include Law, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, or related social sciences.
- Good knowledge of standard computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated interest in the work and values of the United Nations.
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Benefits
The internship is unpaid and has a minimum duration of 10 weeks (full-time).
