About the Coalition for Good Schools

The Coalition for Good Schools is a dynamic network of leaders from the Global South who are actively engaged in the global conversation on preventing violence against children (VAC) in schools.

Our mission is to elevate insights, evidence-based programs, and innovations originating from the Global South to provide actionable tools, data, and best practices for sustainable, locally led solutions.

As the global movement to prevent VAC continues to expand, the Coalition sees a pivotal opportunity to further develop this field by and for civil society, highlighting innovations and voices from the Global South. We believe that grounding our work in this perspective will yield fresh and practical solutions, which is why we are committed to building a Global South-led agenda to end VAC in schools.

Communications plays a central role in achieving these goals. The Coalition has previously engaged communications experts to develop initial branding toolkits, web presence, and a suite of communications materials. We are now seeking a highly skilled communications strategist to help refine our messaging, optimize the use of communications tools, and support cross-regional campaigns that elevate VAC in schools as a global priority.

    Role Overview

The Communications Consultant will work closely with the Coalition’s Global Hub and co-founders to manage and enhance the Coalition’s communications activities. • Produce a series of up to 10 podcasts exploring key questions in VAC prevention, co-developed and hosted by the Coalition.

    Campaign Design and Implementation

    • Co-lead the design and execution of global communications campaigns in collaboration with Regional Hubs and partners.
    • Oversee shared social media accounts (LinkedIn and BlueSky), maintaining content calendars and creating visual content aligned with Coalition branding.

    Capacity Strengthening

    • Conduct short 1–2 hour sessions on communications best practices for Regional Hubs and Coalition members.
    • Support Regional Hub coordinators on branding guidelines and external communications.
