    About NEON

New Economy Organisers Network (NEON) is a capacity and infrastructure-building organisation working to accelerate the transition to a new economy by strengthening the power of social movements.

We believe that without strong social movements, we lack the power required to win transformative change.

We deliver training, develop resources, facilitate collaboration, and work alongside key movement allies—particularly across climate, housing and migration movements.

Our focus is on strengthening organising, communications and strategy skills while deepening alignment across movements. We aim to shift the starting point from “what do we agree on?” to “what can we win together?”

    The Role

The Head of Digital Communications will lead the development and delivery of NEON’s new Digital Programme as part of a wider Communications Hub.

The Hub’s mission is to strengthen the communications skills and capabilities of progressive movements across the UK. Digital will become its sixth programme.

You will play a strategic and hands-on role—helping partners develop effective digital communications strategies, creating compelling content, delivering training, and supporting spokespeople to navigate an increasingly complex online environment.

You will centre anti-oppression in your approach and ensure that those from marginalised backgrounds are supported to stay safe online.

You will stay ahead of emerging digital trends, respond quickly to media moments, and use digital tools to empower our base and persuade new audiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide tailored support for individuals facing online abuse or hate

    Training & Capacity Building

    • Project manage and deliver digital media training programmes
    • Lead follow-up training for flagship spokespeople
