    Job Description

    Overview

    The Open Society Foundations (OSF) is hiring for multiple positions within its Rights and Economic Renewal portfolio in Washington, DC and New York, NY. These roles focus on advancing equity, protecting rights, and fostering economic inclusion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead strategy development for Rights and Economic Renewal initiatives
    • Oversee program implementation and evaluation
    • Engage with external partners, stakeholders, and grantees
    • Support staff development and manage program budgets
    • Contribute to cross-foundation initiatives and knowledge-sharing
    • Manage day-to-day program activities and ensure timely delivery
    • Monitor program impact and prepare regular reports
    • Support grantmaking and partnership engagement
    • Coordinate events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
    • Assist in developing program strategies and objectives
    • Provide administrative support to program staff and teams
    • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management
    • Coordinate meetings, travel, and events
    • Maintain records and support internal reporting requirements
    • Help ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures

    Requirements

    Associate Director: Extensive experience in program management and leadership within human rights, social justice, or economic equity fields; strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills; proven ability to build partnerships and influence change; excellent communication and team leadership capabilities.

    Program Manager: Significant experience in program or project management in social justice, economic inclusion, or related fields; strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure program objectives are met; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Administrative Officer: Strong administrative and organizational skills; experience supporting program operations in non-profit or foundation settings; proficiency in office software, budgeting tools, and database management; excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.

    Salary ranges are provided for each role: Associate Director ($178,100 – $209,550), Program Manager ($136,900 – $157,000), and Administrative Officer ($86,500 – $96,100).
