About the Role
This role requires a versatile digital storyteller capable of conceptualizing, scripting, designing, and editing content for various digital channels. From punchy social media posts to engaging short videos and email campaigns, the Digital Content Producer will be instrumental in amplifying FIA’s message and campaign objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Social Media Engagement
- Develop and produce high-quality visual and written content tailored to FIA’s social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter (X), Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create engaging graphics, short videos, GIFs, reels, memes, infographics, and threads with quick turnaround times.
- Craft captivating captions, scripts, headlines, and call-to-actions to maximize engagement.
- React promptly to news events and trending topics, ensuring FIA remains relevant and responsive.
- Support national alliances and colleagues by providing digital content that enhances their outreach efforts.
Website and Email Content
- Design and write compelling content for FIA’s email campaigns to drive engagement and response.
- Support updates to FIA’s website, using content management systems such as WordPress or similar tools.
- Create banners, images, and layout visuals optimized for desktop and mobile devices.
Video Scripting and Editing
- Write scripts for short-form videos that communicate key messages effectively.
- Edit and produce video content using accessible tools like Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, Canva, or similar.
- Source stock footage, overlay text, music, and subtitles to enhance video storytelling.
Graphic Design
- Design static and motion graphics that support campaigns, digital actions, and movement storytelling.
- Apply principles of typography, color theory, and layout to deliver high-quality visuals.
- Develop templates and toolkits for use by regional and partner organizations.
Coordination and Support
- Collaborate closely with FIA’s Digital Strategist to align content with strategic priorities.
- Maintain an organized content calendar and digital asset library.
- Track content performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of three years’ experience in digital communications, content production, or graphic design, preferably within social movements, NGOs, or activism projects.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of work in design, writing, and video editing.
- Proficiency in Canva, with experience in creating platform-native, engaging social media content.
- Working knowledge of video editing workflows and tools.
- Familiarity with social media publishing, including mobile-first and accessibility practices (alt text, captions).
- Ability to adapt content quickly to current events and movement needs.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in Spanish and French (native or near-native) is highly desirable, with the ability to produce original content in these languages.
