Overview
Aflatoun International is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Intern to support its global Monitoring and Evaluation team. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, research, and program evaluation within a global non-profit focused on social and financial education for children and youth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with data cleaning, preparation, and analysis for the annual survey.
- Contributing to drafting the annual survey report.
- Supporting monitoring and evaluation tasks for external projects.
- Assisting with the dissemination of research and evidence through webinars, journals, blogs, and other platforms.
- Helping to develop new M&E tools to measure program effectiveness.
- Indexing and filing new research evidence within the internal knowledge repository.
- Supporting the organization, updating, and verification of the MERL database and project data.
Requirements
- Currently in the final stage of a master’s program or recently graduated in fields such as Education, Development Studies, Economics, Psychology, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with statistical analysis software such as SPSS or STATA (preferred).
- Demonstrated interest in social and financial education programs.
- Knowledge or experience in knowledge management.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively.
- Strong English language proficiency.
- Eligible to undertake an internship in the Netherlands or work remotely within CET ±3 hours.
Benefits
Stipend: Up to €400 per month on a full-time basis.
Location
Amsterdam (Hybrid) or Remote within CET ±3 hours
