    Job Description

    Overview

    The AstraZeneca Young Health Programme (YHP) Impact Fellowship, in partnership with One Young World, is a global fellowship designed to support young leaders who are actively working to improve health outcomes, strengthen communities, and address pressing global challenges. Selected fellows will attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Advancing Health Equity, including preventing non-communicable diseases among young people, supporting young people living with rare diseases, and promoting early intervention and preventative healthcare.
    • Climate and Nature Action, including addressing the health impacts of climate change and advocating for environmental sustainability and public health protection.
    • Health Systems Resilience, including strengthening healthcare systems, supporting early detection and prevention strategies, and reducing long-term disease burdens in vulnerable communities.

    Requirements

    • Young leaders aged 18–30 (or older if impact is demonstrated).
    • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
    • Ability to participate in person at the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town.
    • Access to a device and internet connection for online activities.
    • Willingness to contribute to collaborative learning and global health advocacy.
    • Founders or leaders of registered non-profit organizations operational for at least three years.
    • Organizations must operate in underserved communities and demonstrate financial transparency.
    • For the $10,000 grant: Annual organizational income between USD $10,000 and $1,000,000.
    • For the $50,000 grant: Annual organizational income between USD $100,000 and $2,000,000.
    • Organizations must be funding-ready and able to provide necessary documentation.
