    Job Description

    Overview

Con Edison Strategic Partnerships grants are available for community-based organizations in 2026 to support climate resilience, equity, and clean energy workforce development. The program invests in nonprofit projects that align with a vision for a clean, equitable, and resilient energy future for New York City and Westchester County.

    Benefits

Con Edison has awarded millions in philanthropic support to local organizations. In 2025, the company provided approximately $22 million in grants to nonprofit partners supporting climate adaptation, social justice, and workforce development.

    Eligibility

    • 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-based organizations and educational institutions located within Con Edison’s service territory (New York City and Westchester County).
    • Coalitions or alliances of institutions working with a designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit as a fiscal sponsor.

Grant requests must align with one of Con Edison’s priority focus areas and include measurable outcomes. Funding is for program-related activities, not event sponsorships, capital campaigns, or debt reduction. Arts-only or primary medical/health initiatives are not considered current funding priorities.

    How to Apply

    1. Review Con Edison’s priority focus areas for climate resilience, community equity, or workforce development.
    2. Submit a concept paper (for first-time applicants or those who didn't receive funding last cycle) on a rolling basis until April 30, 2026. Qualifying submissions will receive an invitation to submit a formal grant application.
    3. Submit a formal application if invited, for the fall grant selection process.

Organizations may receive only one grant per calendar year. Funding requests must be for upcoming projects.

    Deadline

Concept papers are accepted on a rolling basis until April 30, 2026.
