    Job Description

    Overview

    Equitable Earth is hiring a remote, full-time Director of Finance & Corporate Services to shape financial strategy, support forests and communities, and drive organizational growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Develop financial infrastructure and advise on organizational performance.
    • Create KPIs and oversee accounting, cash flow, and compliance.
    • Strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
    • Oversee legal, tax, and regulatory compliance.
    • Manage external counsel, auditors, and partners.
    • Structure and negotiate contracts.
    • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
    • Promote a culture of compliance and high ethical standards.
    • Support transparent financial disclosures and maintain stakeholder relationships.
    • Provide reporting for strategic transactions and due diligence.
    • Oversee people operations, payroll, and HR policies.
    • Partner on workforce planning and organizational design.
    • Improve internal systems, tools, and administrative processes.
    • Lead and develop the finance and operations team.

    Requirements

    • 8-10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably in scaling organizations.
    • Proven expertise in financial modeling, planning, and analytics.
    • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
    • Exposure to legal, compliance, and human resources functions.
    • Experience managing multi-entity and international environments.
    • Familiarity with carbon markets and sustainability finance is a plus.
    • Demonstrated leadership in fast-changing settings.
    • Strategic thinker with analytical depth and problem-solving skills.
    • Proactive, hands-on executor with a bias for action.
    • Excellent communicator with executive presence.
    • Ability to balance structure with agility and collaborate effectively.
    • High integrity, sound judgment, and impact-driven approach.
    • Fluent in English; French and/or Portuguese language skills are advantageous.
