Overview
Population Services International Nigeria seeks a Program Operations Lead to join the Senior Management Team, responsible for translating strategy into operational excellence and measurable health impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate country strategy into annual operational plans with clear objectives, deliverables, key performance indicators, and aligned budgets.
- Lead annual business planning and support proposal development to secure new funding opportunities.
- Champion accountability, innovation, impact measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Manage enterprise-wide risk, including operational, financial, and compliance risks.
- Provide strategic leadership within the Senior Management Team and contribute to organizational growth and performance culture.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
- Ten to twelve years of progressive leadership experience in program operations, preferably across multi-donor health portfolios.
- At least five years in senior management leading multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Strong financial management, compliance, and risk oversight experience.
- Strong understanding of Nigeria’s health system and donor landscape (e.g., The Global Fund, USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF).
- Significant experience managing donor-funded health projects.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Conflict management and negotiation experience.
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial and statistical data.
- Proven track record of delivering results and impact.
- Proven experience in external relations, fundraising, and strategic communication.
