    Job Description

    Overview

    Population Services International Nigeria seeks a Program Operations Lead to join the Senior Management Team, responsible for translating strategy into operational excellence and measurable health impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Translate country strategy into annual operational plans with clear objectives, deliverables, key performance indicators, and aligned budgets.
    • Lead annual business planning and support proposal development to secure new funding opportunities.
    • Champion accountability, innovation, impact measurement, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage enterprise-wide risk, including operational, financial, and compliance risks.
    • Provide strategic leadership within the Senior Management Team and contribute to organizational growth and performance culture.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
    • Ten to twelve years of progressive leadership experience in program operations, preferably across multi-donor health portfolios.
    • At least five years in senior management leading multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
    • Strong financial management, compliance, and risk oversight experience.
    • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s health system and donor landscape (e.g., The Global Fund, USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF).
    • Significant experience managing donor-funded health projects.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Conflict management and negotiation experience.
    • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial and statistical data.
    • Proven track record of delivering results and impact.
    • Proven experience in external relations, fundraising, and strategic communication.
