Overview
The Odysseus Summer School 2026 invites PhD researchers to present their work on European migration and asylum law, receive expert feedback, and apply for grants. Organized by the Odysseus Academic Network for Legal Studies on Immigration and Asylum in Europe, this doctoral seminar aims to foster academic excellence and collaboration.

Four competitive grants are available, covering tuition fees (excluding deposit), travel, and accommodation. Grant recipients will also assist with on-site organization.
Eligibility
Participation is limited to individuals registered for the Odysseus Summer School who have paid the deposit fee. Applicants for financial support must demonstrate financial need.
Requirements
Submit a single PDF file including:
- Cover page with applicant's name, PhD title, research progress year, and supervisor's email.
- Curriculum Vitae with detailed academic background.
- Academic records for each year of study (if applicable).
- A one-page summary of the PhD research topic.
- A one-page overview of the doctoral thesis structure.
- Proof of payment of the €350 Summer School deposit.
- Letter of motivation (required for financial support applicants).

1. Complete the Odysseus Summer School registration form.
Fill out the PhD catalogue on the Odysseus website.
Submit the full application package via email to odysseus@ulb.be.
