    An opportunity for young leaders of African descent in Atlantic Canada to participate in the United Nations Permanent Forum on People of African Descent in Geneva, Switzerland, from April 13–18, 2026. Organized by the Civic Roots Foundation, this fully funded international opportunity aims to empower youth to engage in global policy discussions and advance equity, justice, and sustainable development.

    About the Delegation

    The delegation will take place from April 13–18, 2026, bringing selected participants to Geneva to:

    • Engage in global policy dialogue at the United Nations
    • Represent African descent communities from Atlantic Canada
    • Network with international leaders, advocates, and policymakers
