the Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice: Salary USD $85,000 – $100,000 per year
The Hive Fund for Climate and Gender Justice is a US-based philanthropic initiative dedicated to advancing equitable climate solutions.
The organization provides grants to groups working to transition from fossil fuels to clean energy while centering justice, redistributing power, and supporting healthier, safer, and more prosperous communities.
Focusing primarily on the US South—including Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, and the Carolinas—the Hive Fund partners with more than 30 donors to provide flexible, multiyear support to over 150 grantee organizations.
Nearly three-quarters of its funding goes to groups led by Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Asian American and Pacific Islander women and gender-nonconforming leaders, amplifying historically underfunded voices in climate leadership. Through its grantmaking, the Hive Fund helps organizations build economic, cultural, and political power to achieve sustained climate justice wins.
The Hive Fund operates in partnership with its fiscal sponsor, Windward Fund, a 501(c)(3) public charity that incubates innovative public-interest projects and provides organizational infrastructure, including payroll, benefits, and HR support.
