    The NATO SHAPE Internship Programme 2027 offers a paid international internship opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain professional experience within a leading international organization. Based at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium, the program provides hands-on exposure to international cooperation, policy, communications, and technology while offering a monthly stipend.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Draft and prepare official documents
    • Conduct research and analysis
    • Attend and summarize meetings and conferences
    • Support media analysis and public relations activities
    • Assist technical or administrative teams
    • Contribute to communication and digital projects
    • Supporting digital outreach and social media activities
    • Contributing to employer branding initiatives
    • Assisting with podcast development and multimedia projects
    • Expanding presence on emerging social platforms
    • Supporting communication campaigns

    Requirements

    • Citizens of a NATO member nation
    • At least 21 years old at the time of application
    • Strong English proficiency
    • Completed a first university degree
    • Current MA/MSc or PhD students, or recent graduates (within the last 18 months)
    • Possible security clearance from national authorities
    • Broad range of disciplines accepted, including: Policy and International Affairs, Business and Administration, Technology and Engineering, Communications and Media, Intelligence and Security, Library Sciences, and Languages.
