World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026 (Fully Funded) — Call for Applications in South Korea

Overview

Applications are open for the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026, a fully funded international program organized by UNESCO. The forum will take place in the Republic of Korea from July 13–21, 2026, focusing on the theme “World Heritage, Communities and Education: Empowering Youth as Agents of Change.” It aims to bring together 30 young professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in heritage protection and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Strengthen the commitment and professional capacity of young heritage practitioners.
• Explore community participation in heritage conservation and management.
• Examine the role of education and learning in heritage decision-making.
• Promote youth leadership in World Heritage protection.

Requirements

• Age: 23-32 years old (born between 1994 and 2003).
• Professional Profile: Young professionals or practitioners in education, World Heritage site management, heritage research, or heritage-focused NGOs/communities.
• Demonstrated involvement in World Heritage activities.
• Strong motivation to contribute to discussions on youth, communities, and education.
• Full availability for the entire duration of the forum.
• Proficiency in English.
