Overview
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a Conscious Food Systems Alliance (CoFSA) Programme Coordinator for an international assignment. This role supports UNDP’s Nature, Climate and Energy portfolio by advancing systemic transformation of food systems through innovative and consciousness-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation, quality assurance, and risk management of the CoFSA workplan.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and develop substantive briefs and proposals.
- Identify and nurture strategic partnerships with civil society, UN agencies, financial institutions, governments, donors, and private sector partners.
- Contribute to the design of new strategic initiatives and integrate CoFSA into UNDP programming.
- Organize training, capture lessons learned, and develop knowledge products and advocacy materials.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in international development, management, business administration, food and agriculture, or related field (Bachelor's with additional experience considered).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (Master's) or 7 years (Bachelor's).
- Demonstrated expertise in food and agriculture.
- Experience coordinating projects with budget oversight.
- Experience linking inner development approaches to sustainability or systems change.
- Desirable: resource mobilization and multi-stakeholder partnership experience.
- Fluency in English required; Spanish and/or French are an advantage.
- Strong project management, partnership management, communication, monitoring and evaluation, systems thinking, political acumen, and adaptability skills.
