    Job Description

    Women and girls who are forcibly displaced or stateless often face significant barriers to accessing technology, digital tools, and online opportunities. To address this urgent global challenge, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, in partnership with Here I Am Studio, has launched the Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp 2026.

    This fully funded online bootcamp is designed specifically for women-led and refugee-led organisations working with displaced and stateless women and girls. The programme aims to strengthen digital gender equality, advance inclusive innovation, and support safe, meaningful access to technology.

    About the Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp 2026

    The Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp 2026 is part of UNHCR’s broader commitment to:

    • Strengthening the leadership and agency of displaced and stateless women

    • Building inclusive and community-driven innovation ecosystems

    • Advancing digital gender equality

    • Supporting safe and meaningful digital access

    Through this programme, selected organisations will gain practical tools, strategic insights, and applied skills to close the digital gender gap in their communities.

    What the Bootcamp Offers

    This free online programme provides a blended learning experience combining live sessions and self-paced modules.

    Participants Will Receive:

    • 5 live online learning sessions

    • 8 self-paced online learning modules

    • Peer learning, exchange, and networking opportunities

    • A Digital Gender Inclusion and Innovation Bootcamp Certificate upon successful completion

    Participants will develop knowledge and practical skills in:

    • Online safety and digital protection for women and girls

    • Using digital tools for protection and accountability

    • Developing digital livelihoods for economic empowerment

    • Human-centred design

    • Project management

    • Partnership-building and collaboration

    The programme provides a holistic approach to delivering impactful digital gender inclusion initiatives in displacement contexts.

    Who Can Apply?

    Applications are open to organisations working with forcibly displaced and stateless women and girls, including:

    • Women-led organisations (WLOs), especially refugee women-led organisations (RWLOs)

    • Refugee-led organisations (RLOs)

    • Community-based organisations (CBOs)

    Organisational Requirements

    Eligible organisations must:

    • Have experience supporting displaced or stateless women and girls and/or demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing their rights and opportunities

    • Have experience in digital inclusion and innovation work or show a clear interest in building knowledge in this area

    • Nominate up to two women participants from their organisation

    Participant Requirements

    Nominated participants must:

    • Commit 10–12 total hours during the programme

      • 5–6 hours for live online sessions

      • 5–6 hours for self-paced modules

    • Speak English, French, Arabic, or Spanish

    • Have access to Zoom (via computer or mobile phone)

    • Have a stable internet connection

    • Be comfortable using basic online learning platforms

    Live sessions are exclusively for women participants to ensure safe and meaningful engagement.

    Accessibility and Inclusion

    The organisers will make every effort to accommodate selected organisations, including participants with visual or hearing impairments. A detailed agenda tailored to applicant priorities will be shared with selected participants.
