Overview
Air Peace is recruiting qualified and licensed candidates for the position of Assistant Flight Dispatcher in its Operations Control Centre. This role is ideal for early-career professionals seeking experience in airline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support joint operational control with the Pilot-in-Command, including authorization and release of aircraft in line with approved Operational Flight Plans and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, authorizing, revising, and monitoring operational and ATS flight plans for various flight types.
- Analyze meteorological, ATC, aircraft performance, and airport conditions to support optimal routing, fuel, and payload decisions while mitigating risks.
- Maintain continuous flight watch, track flight progress, and communicate operational or weather-related updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the management of diversions, delays, cancellations, curfew breaks, and emergency procedures, including coordination and incident reporting.
- Work with various units to resolve operational issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of BSc, HND, or equivalent qualification.
- Valid NCAA Flight Dispatcher License.
- Zero to two years of hands-on experience as a licensed Flight Dispatcher.
- Good understanding of weather interpretation, flight planning systems, and aircraft performance.
- Working knowledge of NCAA regulations and ICAO standards.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure, 24/7 operations environment.
- Proficiency in flight planning software and Microsoft Office tools.
Benefits
Salary Range: ₦235,000 – ₦340,000 per month
