About the Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA)
The Centre for Effective Altruism is a global organization dedicated to building and nurturing a community of individuals committed to doing the most good.
Its mission is to foster a community of people who think carefully about the world’s most pressing problems and take impactful action to solve them. CEA runs conferences, supports local groups, and provides online resources and forums that enable community engagement and advocacy.
CEA’s core work involves applying evidence, reason, and compassion to address challenges such as global poverty, animal suffering, and existential risks. The organization aims to grow and support a global network of effective altruism (EA) communities, which serve as a vital pathway into high-impact careers.
The Role: Program Manager, Global Groups
The Program Manager for Global Groups is a pivotal role within CEA’s Groups team. The primary focus is to develop, refine, and scale support programs that empower local EA groups worldwide. Despite the success of existing programs, there remains vast potential for growth, especially in unserved or underserved regions such as universities and cities worldwide.
The Program Manager will focus on understanding the needs of these communities, designing compelling support offerings, and devising strategies to reach and serve new audiences effectively.
