The Swedish Institute SI Global Executive Programme 2026 is a high-level executive initiative designed for senior leaders who are ready to embed sustainability into core business strategy and lead transformative, future-focused change. This globally recognised programme brings together executives from diverse regions and industries to learn directly from Sweden’s world-leading sustainability ecosystem.
In today’s interconnected global economy, sustainability is no longer optional—it is a strategic imperative. Business leaders are expected to deliver growth while also addressing social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and long-term resilience.
Sweden has long been at the forefront of sustainable innovation, supported by strong collaboration between business, research institutions, and policymakers. The SI Global Executive Programme leverages this ecosystem to equip senior executives with the insights, tools, and networks needed to turn sustainability challenges into competitive advantages.
This programme is tailored for senior executives, CEOs, and top-level decision-makers from medium to large organisations who have the authority to drive strategic change. It is ideal for leaders seeking to align profitability with sustainable impact while strengthening organisational resilience and long-term value creation.
Each cohort consists of approximately 100 senior executives from 24 countries, creating a rich, peer-driven learning environment built on shared challenges and global perspectives.
The SI Global Executive Programme runs from May to November 2026, combining flexible online learning with a one-week onsite module in Sweden.
Participants typically spend three to four hours per week during intensive modules, making the programme compatible with demanding executive schedules.
The learning experience includes:
Interactive workshops and facilitated seminars
Peer learning, coaching, and executive-level dialogue
Meetings with Swedish companies and sustainability leaders
A hands-on strategic business project embedded within the participant’s organisation
This is not a lecture-based programme. Active participation, collaboration, and real-world application are central to the experience.
The programme delivers practical and strategic value, including:
