    Job Description

    Overview

    Centre for Community Excellence (CENCEX) is hiring for multiple positions to support an upcoming project. They are seeking qualified, motivated, and competent candidates for various roles.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct hygiene needs assessments and support implementation planning.
    • Train and supervise volunteers on hygiene promotion methods including CHAST and PHAST approaches.
    • Implement hygiene promotion campaigns using culturally appropriate IEC materials aligned with international standards.
    • Monitor progress, prepare field reports, and document lessons learned and success stories.
    • Plan and distribute hygiene, dignity, and cholera kits while ensuring proper usage.
    • Conduct sensitization campaigns and promote inclusion of vulnerable groups and gender mainstreaming.
    • Support MEAL processes through data collection, activity tracking, and reporting.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in hygiene promotion, preferably within humanitarian or development projects.
    • Field team management experience including safety and resource management.
    • Strong project coordination and partnership management skills.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Proactive, solutions-oriented and results-driven approach.
    • Knowledge of the local context and dialects of Sokoto North and Sokoto South is an asset.
    • Must be fluent in Hausa.
    • Minimum of Diploma in Public Health, Community Health, Environmental Health or related field with at least 2 years prior experience in hygiene promotion, preferably in humanitarian settings.
