Overview

The University of Glasgow African Excellence Award is a prestigious scholarship initiative designed to support high-achieving students from Africa who wish to pursue postgraduate taught Master’s level study.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements to be considered for the African Excellence Award:

• Demonstrate academic excellence equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree
• Apply for, and ultimately hold, an offer for a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme starting in September 2026
• Hold international fee status and be domiciled in Africa

How to Apply

Eligible candidates must submit a formal scholarship application through the University of Glasgow’s online system. Steps to apply include:

• Receive a student ID and application number
