Medihelp has announced applications for its 2026 Marketing AI Content Creator Internship, offering young South African creatives an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, AI-assisted content production, and multimedia storytelling.

The one-year full-time internship is designed to support emerging talent interested in the growing intersection between artificial intelligence, visual communication, and digital marketing. Successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance of R10,000 throughout the programme.

According to Medihelp, the internship forms part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to developing future-ready professionals within the marketing and communications sector. The selected intern will join the company’s Marketing and Communication portfolio and contribute to a range of creative and digital campaigns.

Internship Focus Areas

The Marketing AI Content Creator Intern will assist with the production of AI-generated and multimedia marketing content across various platforms. Responsibilities include creating AI-assisted imagery, videos, and design assets using platforms such as Adobe Firefly, Runway, Canva, and related tools.

The successful applicant will also support video production projects, including filming explainer videos, product campaigns, social media clips, and promotional content. Additional duties involve multimedia editing, adapting content for different digital channels, and helping improve marketing workflows through experimentation with emerging AI technologies.

Medihelp noted that the role is ideal for creative individuals with a passion for innovation, storytelling, and digital communication trends. The internship also offers practical exposure to modern content creation strategies increasingly used in the marketing industry.

Skills and Qualifications Required

Applicants must hold a Grade 12 certificate and possess a qualification in digital marketing, multimedia, AI content creation, visual communication, or a related discipline.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate skills in AI prompting, AI-assisted content production, video filming, and editing. Strong visual storytelling ability, creative instincts, and understanding of digital campaign formats are considered essential for the position.

In addition, Medihelp is looking for applicants with good English communication skills and the ability to work proactively within a team environment. The organization emphasized the importance of curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and test new ideas quickly.

Preference will be given to unemployed South African citizens. Current Medihelp employees are not eligible to apply.
