Africa Uncensored, in partnership with DW Akademie, has opened applications for the AI in the Newsroom Fellowship 2026, a six-month intensive program designed to help journalists bridge the gap between journalism and emerging technologies.
The fellowship is open to:
Applicants must define a clear use case for how they plan to use AI tools to solve a specific newsroom challenge. A letter of commitment from their newsroom or a personal letter for freelancers is required.
Selected fellows will gain access to several valuable opportunities, including:
