Overview

The Ocean Futures Fellowship, offered by OceanX, is a professional development program designed to equip emerging ocean professionals with the skills, experience, and global exposure needed to address challenges facing the world’s oceans. This six-month, full-time fellowship is fully remote.

Eligibility

• At least 21 years old
• Authorized to work in their country of residence
• Available to commit full-time from June to December 2026
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution before the fellowship begins
• Demonstrate experience or interest in one of the fellowship tracks
• Full professional proficiency in English (C2 level or equivalent)
• Practical knowledge of AI literacy and commitment to responsible use of technologies
• Strong motivation for purpose-driven work and global collaboration

Benefits

Fellows receive a monthly stipend, a potential technology stipend, mentorship, global networking opportunities, and exposure to ocean exploration initiatives. Travel aboard the OceanXplorer may also be available.
