Overview

Applications are now open for the NABE Scholars Program 2026–2027 cohort, which offers aspiring economists and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain exposure, mentorship, and access to the business economics community.

Eligibility

The program is designed for individuals from groups historically underrepresented in the business economics profession, including:

• Women
• Ethnic and racial minorities
• Immigrants to the United States
• Members of the LGBTQ+ community
• Individuals living with disabilities

Applicants must also:

• Be current students or early-career professionals
• Have seven years or less of experience in the economics field
• Be working in a role that applies economic principles or theory
• Hold at least an undergraduate degree

Benefits

Selected scholars gain access to a comprehensive package of professional development and networking opportunities, including:

• Mentorship from experienced NABE members
• Attendance at NABE conferences and events
• One-year complimentary NABE membership
• Free registration for one Certified Business Economist (CBE) course
• Travel stipend of up to $400 to support event participation
