Are you an international-minded young leader working to create change in your community? The Youth Leaders for Peace Fellowship (YL4P) – India Chapter offers a unique opportunity to strengthen your leadership, expand your impact, and connect with a national network of changemakers committed to social justice and peacebuilding.

Organized by the White Dot Solidarity Network, this fellowship is designed for young people across India who are already engaged in social action and are looking to deepen their skills, knowledge, and long-term impact. Through a structured online programme, participants will gain practical tools to sustain and elevate their work in areas such as human rights, climate change, gender justice, and community development.

    About the Fellowship

The YL4P is a one-month intensive training programme that combines interactive learning sessions with hands-on community engagement. Running from 1 May to 1 July 2026, the fellowship is delivered entirely online via Zoom, making it accessible to participants across India.

The programme includes five structured training sessions held weekly, each lasting two hours. These sessions are complemented by a month-long community engagement assignment, where fellows apply their learning to real-world challenges within their communities.

A distinctive feature of the fellowship is its intergenerational learning approach, where each session is co-facilitated by both youth experts and senior practitioners. This allows participants to gain diverse perspectives, practical insights, and mentorship from experienced leaders.

The fellowship is supported by the Youth Empowerment Fund of Global Youth Mobilisation, funded by the European Union and a consortium of global youth organizations.

    Why This Opportunity Matters

Young leaders working in social impact often face challenges such as limited resources, lack of structured training, and minimal access to networks. The YL4P Fellowship directly addresses these gaps by providing both skills and support systems.

By combining training, mentorship, funding support, and networking, the programme equips participants to sustain and scale their work more effectively. It also creates a platform for collaboration among youth leaders across different regions and sectors.

For individuals committed to creating meaningful change, this fellowship offers a practical pathway to strengthen both leadership capacity and community impact.

    What Participants Will Gain

One of the strongest aspects of the YL4P Fellowship is its focus on practical, real-world impact rather than purely theoretical learning.

Participants will gain structured training in key areas such as leadership, advocacy, research, fundraising, and digital security. These skills are essential for individuals working in social impact spaces and help strengthen both personal and organizational effectiveness.

A major benefit of the programme is the community engagement assignment, where fellows design and implement a project related to their area of work. This hands-on component allows participants to directly apply their learning while making a tangible difference in their communities.

Fellows will also receive an honorarium to support the costs associated with their community projects, making it easier to implement meaningful initiatives.

In addition, participants gain access to ongoing mentorship, which helps them refine their ideas, overcome challenges, and strengthen their long-term impact strategies.

Upon successful completion, fellows receive a certificate and become part of the White Dot Solidarity Network’s pan-India community of youth leaders. This network provides opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and future engagement.
