    Overview

    The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nature Hub is seeking a Blue Resilience Intern to support its work on sustainable ocean governance and combating organized crime in fisheries. This role is home-based with potential travel to a major international event.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the organization of the 2026 Blue Justice Community User Gathering, including planning, logistics, and participant communication.
    • Provide on-site support during the event if travel is involved.
    • Assist with post-event tasks such as drafting reports and sending communications.
    • Provide general project support, including platform updates, content creation, and administrative tasks.

    Requirements

    Applicants must meet at least one of the following educational criteria:

    • Currently enrolled in a master’s degree or postgraduate program.
    • In the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
    • A recent graduate (within one year).
    • Enrolled in a professional traineeship program.

    Relevant fields of study include Environmental management, Environmental policy, Sustainable development, Environmental economics, International relations, Communications, and Sustainability management.

    Preferred skills include strong organizational and coordination skills, ability to work collaboratively, report writing/research experience, interest in maritime governance, and knowledge of digital collaboration tools.

    Fluency in English is required.

    Benefits

    A monthly stipend may be provided, depending on UNDP policies. Interns receive exposure to multilateral environmental cooperation and ocean governance.

    Location

    Global (Home-based). Preference may be given to candidates located closer to Denmark due to travel budget constraints.
