If you’re looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international climate policy while working with one of the world’s leading climate finance institutions, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) has announced applications for its Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) Policy Internship in Songdo, Incheon, Republic of Korea.
This six-month paid traineeship offers an excellent opportunity for master’s and PhD students, as well as recent graduates in related fields, to contribute to global climate governance, policy analysis, and independent evaluation within a multicultural international organization.

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the world’s largest dedicated climate fund, established under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It supports developing countries in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and strengthening resilience to climate change while promoting sustainable development.
The internship is hosted by the Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU), which evaluates the performance of the Green Climate Fund and provides evidence-based recommendations to improve climate finance policies and decision-making.
The selected intern will join the Policy and Board Engagement team, working on projects that support climate policy development and institutional learning.
