    Overview

    Save the Children UK is looking for dynamic young people aged 12-16 to join their Youth Advisory Board (YAB) for a two-year commitment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Attend monthly virtual meetings on the first Wednesday of every month from 5-7pm.
    • Participate in three in-person meetings a year: two one-day meetings in Autumn and Spring, and a two-night residential in Summer.
    • Collaborate with others to influence projects across Save the Children’s initiatives in the UK.
    • Engage with media and deliver speeches at events.
    • Work on issues such as child poverty in the UK.

    Requirements

    • Applicants must be aged 12-16.
    • Diverse backgrounds, especially underrepresented groups such as working-class youth, disabled, people of color, young carers, and refugees.
    • Must not currently be a member of another youth board for a large charity or related to a current YAB member.
