The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially opened applications for the 2026 Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA), an initiative implemented through the Industrial Training Fund (ITF). This programme is designed to empower Nigerians with practical, industry-relevant skills that enhance employability and support entrepreneurship across key sectors of the economy.

The SUPA initiative targets individuals who are interested in acquiring vocational and technical skills that are in high demand both locally and globally. Selected participants will benefit from comprehensive, hands-on training delivered by certified professionals, ensuring they gain real-world experience and competence in their chosen fields.

Participants in the 2026 cohort will receive several benefits, including free vocational training, nationally recognised certification upon completion, and a monthly stipend of approximately ₦35,000, provided they maintain at least 90% attendance throughout the training period. In addition, the programme offers job placement opportunities and entrepreneurship support, enabling beneficiaries to either secure employment or start and grow their own businesses.

Applicants can choose from a wide range of training areas, including building and construction, fashion design and textiles, automotive technology, agriculture and agro-allied services, hospitality and catering, as well as ICT-related fields. These sectors have been carefully selected to align with current market demands and economic priorities.

The programme is open to eligible Nigerians who are motivated to learn, grow, and contribute to national development through skill acquisition.
