    The AU–EU Summit Model 2026 is a prestigious youth diplomacy simulation designed to bring together young leaders from Africa and Europe to engage in high-level policy discussions, negotiations, and decision-making processes. Hosted at the African Union Commission Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, this unique initiative provides a powerful platform for youth to actively participate in shaping the future of Africa-Europe relations.

    Organized through a collaboration between Model AU–Ethiopia, the European Union Delegation to the African Union, and the African Union Commission’s Women, Gender and Youth Directorate (WGYD), the Summit Model is a flagship youth engagement event taking place from May 12–13, 2026.

    Strategically positioned between Europe Day (May 9) and Africa Day (May 25), the event symbolizes unity, cooperation, and the central role of youth in advancing the AU–EU partnership.

    What is the AU–EU Summit Model?

    The AU–EU Summit Model is a high-impact diplomatic simulation where participants assume roles such as:

    • Be 17–30 years old

    • Be proficient in English or French
