The West African Centre for Public Health and Development (WACPHD) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership and ensure the organization achieves its mission, strengthens its impact, and maintains financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.
- Mobilize resources through grants, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
- Monitor sector trends, donor priorities, and policy developments.
- Ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide overall leadership for organizational operations.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Establish performance monitoring systems to track strategic goals.
- Strengthen internal systems and processes for improved performance.
- Provide direction to senior management and staff.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
- Represent the organization with government agencies, donors, and partners.
- Strengthen institutional visibility and external relationships.
- Maintain strong communication with the Board and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of senior leadership experience in development, nonprofit, or private sector organizations.
- Proven experience in strategic leadership, partnership development, and financial oversight.
