Overview

This program offers recognition to young leaders who are using sports as a platform for social change, inclusion, and community empowerment. The Billie Jean King Youth Leadership Award provides financial support, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities to help amplify the impact of these changemakers.

Eligibility

This opportunity is designed for young individuals in the United States who:

Are U.S. citizens or permanent residents
Are between the ages of 16 and 25
Are enrolled as high school, college, or graduate students
Have a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with their work

Benefits

Applicants will receive:

A one-time $10,000 college scholarship or a $10,000 grant for a nonprofit organization linked to their work (for National Honorees)
A one-time $2,500 college scholarship or a $2,500 grant for a nonprofit organization linked to their work (for Regional Honorees)
Mentorship and leadership development through a virtual program
National recognition during the Sports Humanitarian Awards and the ESPYS

How to Apply

Applications may be submitted directly by the nominee or by a nonprofit organization on behalf of the nominee. Detailed guidelines can be accessed in the application.
