    Overview

    This program offers financial assistance to academically deserving South African students with proven financial need to pursue undergraduate or honours qualifications in STEM and green economy-related fields.

    Eligibility

    • South African citizens.
    • Intend to pursue an undergraduate or honours degree in STEM or green economy-related fields.
    • Demonstrate proven financial need based on household income.
    • Have obtained an average of at least 65% in the year of application in relevant subjects.
    • Obtain consent from a legal parent or guardian and provide proof of financial need.
    • Have secured admission to a South African public university or university of technology.

    Important: Applicants who completed Grade 12 with Mathematics Literacy do not qualify for the bursary.

    Benefits

    Successful applicants will receive funding to support their studies in priority areas such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Green Economy Development.
